This will be a smaller, less formal meeting than usual, offering enhancement of the summer weather for those not yet on a beach elsewhere.
Talks will take place in the Newman Building, at the north-west corner of the Upper Brook St/Booth St East intersection. It is number 88 on the University Campus map, and lies within 10 minutes walk of Piccadilly railway station.
Participants will meet for coffee from 1100AM onwards in the Newman Common Room G13. Lunch will be taken in any of several local venues (such as the vegetarian "On the Eight Day", for example), and we expect to visit a nearby restaurant for early-evening dinner.
Please come and join us!
Everyone who wishes to participate is welcome, particularly postgraduate students. We shall operate the usual criterea for assistance with travel expenses, but beneficiaries may need to complete a standard UM green form, depending on how we interact with LMS funds. So those who qualify PLEASE come armed with NI numbers, and details of UK bank accounts. Please email Nige if you are likely to attend, so that we can cater for appropriate numbers.
The meeting is jointly supported by the London Mathematical Society and The University of Manchester.
