Sixth meeting of the Transpennine Topology Triangle

Department of Mathematics
University of Manchester
Monday November 11th

This will be a working meeting, arranged primarily for the Triangle to fulfill its stated mission of facilitating its joint research programmes. There will therefore be only two talks, plus the usual time for participant discussion. Both talks will take place in ROOM 9.05.

1200 NOON: Francis Clarke, (University of Swansea) ``Differential Operators, Homology Theories and Divisibility''
300 PM: Victor Goryunov, (University of Liverpool) ``Vassiliev-type Invariants of Plane Curves.''

We expect to visit a local curry house (or similar) early in the evening, after Victor's talk.

Anyone who wishes to participate is welcome: we shall operate the usual arrangements for assistance with travel expenses. We expect to assemble for tea and coffee in the Brian Hartley Room, floor 6, from 1100AM until the first talk. Please email Nige Ray (or John Greenlees, or John Hunton if you are interested, so we can make approximately the right amount of tea and coffee.
